The a.m. work out. *Sigh* Every morning my alarm sounds in time for me to get up and get in a work out. And every morning - I hit snooze with a vengeance. Over and over again. I'm sooooo lazy! I LOVE the way I feel after working out in the a.m.! It energizes me! It's completely different from a p.m. work out. It's just so hard to get me there.
So, after my success with the run challenge, I have been feeling as if I need another challenge to push me. Tonight as I was working out, I had an "a-ha" moment. I am going to attempt to get up every morning of the work week and work out this month. Starting tomorrow. It is NOT going to be easy. I'm hopeful that through this process, I'll learn to love or at least make a habit of working out in the a.m.
Here goes nothing...stay tuned.
Psst...would anyone like to give this challenge a go? Let me know!

30 in 30 Run Challenge!
I just found a great challenge over at MapMyRun.com! It's the 30 in 30 Run Challenge! Run 30 miles in 30 days! I'm excited! I NEED a challenge right now! Not only will me and my body be challenged, but there are some great prizes to be won if you finish! Say, a brand-new iPad? I could handle that!
I completed my first run this evening. My time was 0:15:18. Not a great time. I was taking it easy on myself, though. I'm still cautious - a little nervous about the hip injury I had in November. Plus, I had a problem with my knee this week. I'm pleased to report that both felt great tonight! Woo hoo! I'm looking forward to seeing how much I can improve my time over the next month! I plan to log my miles on the blog, so if you're interested, check 'em out!
Anyone want to join me? Comment and let me know you're IN! I'm pumped! :)
Psst! If running is NOT your cup of tea, check out some of the other challenges here! Let me know if you decide to try one!

The Gift Of Health
So, I've been following a blog by a woman named Lorrie @ The Token Fat Girl for a while now. She has posed a challenge this season. To give yourself the gift of health for Christmas this year. I'm taking her up on the challenge! If you're interested - hop on over to her blog and see what she's doing to give herself the gift of health.
What does health look like to you? What can you do in the 43 (yep...43!) days left until Christmas to give yourself that gift? What changes would you make? Be thinking about these things...I know I am. I've been on my weight-loss journey for 3 months now. It doesn't seem like it's been that long. Things are going well. I'm excited about my loss - and looking forward to future success. So, I'm starting to think of different things I could do to further ensure that I give myself the gift of health this year.
I could always eat even better than I have been. There have been days that I don't eat enough fruits & veggies. Most days, actually. I love fruit. Veggies are good, but I'm not big on them! I like certain ones. I've been thinking of trying a new vegetable every week. Perhaps I could even sample some that I don't like and see if my tastebuds have changed (they do that), or if there's a different way to prepare them. I could try some different fruits as well. I think I'm going to take trip to the store this weekend and look around! Haha.
Well, if you want to give this challenge a go - visit Lorrie's blog and tell her! If you have the time, I'd love to know, too!
